North Star Naturopathic Medicine

Dr. Christina Caselli, Naturopathic Physician | Mt. Shasta naturopathic medicine | North Star Medicine

Why Naturopathic Medicine?

Our approach includes establishing the fundamentals of health, including nutritious food, fresh air, clean water, exercise, good sleep, and happiness. We believe that once the fundamentals of health are established, the body can function optimally.

Our treatments may include nutrition counseling, herbal medicine, therapeutic use of nutrient supplements, exercise recommendations, and stress reduction. We may recommend pharmaceutical medications when necessary and can effectively integrate them with natural therapies. Our treatments are effective in treating a wide variety of conditions without the need for additional intervention. However, we will refer you to a specialist whenever necessary.

We can serve as your primary care doctor but are also able to function within an integrated framework, complementing the treatments used by other members of your health care team. The result is a patient-centered approach that strives to provide the most appropriate treatment for you as an individual.

We always recommend what we feel is the best treatment modality but will respect your individual autonomy in making your own educated medical decisions.

Our comprehensive approach to your health takes time, which is why first office visits are scheduled for 90 minutes. Return visits range from 15-60 minutes depending on your needs. You will be with the doctor for the entire time.

COVID-19 Policies:

As per federal, state and local guidelines, we are requiring all our patients to wear masks. We prefer you to bring an N95 or KN95 mask when possible. If you do not have a mask with that level of protection then one will be provided to you.

We request that you call to discuss rescheduling visits if you have a close contact to someone who tests positive for COVID-19 or develop any COVID-19 like symptoms including but not limited to:

  • Fever/Chills
  • Cough
  • Sore Throat
  • Congestion
  • Runny Nose
  • Difficulty Breathing
  • Loss of Taste or Smell
  • New onset of Fatigue
  • Body Aches
  • Diarrhea
  • Nausea or Vomiting

We are offering testing for COVID-19 which includes the Abbott Labs BinaxNow Rapid antigen nasal swab test, Diagnostic PCR nasal swab test through Quest or US Biotek, and antibody blood tests through Quest, LabCorp or US Biotek.

COVID-19 nasal swab testing is performed outside, in front of our office.

We are not set up to offer COVID-19 vaccinations at this time.

If you would like COVID-19 testing, call for an appointment.

There is a charge for all COVID-19 testing. Call for more details.
